Apply for a Scholarship

The Lexington Scholarship Committee disburses scholarship award money from funds that are managed by the Trustee of Public Trusts for the Town of Lexington.

Scholarships are awarded to graduates of Lexington High School (LHS), Minuteman High School (MHS) and Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) who are Lexington residents at the time of graduation.

Awards can be applied to the cost of certificate, one-year, two-year, four-year and undergraduate college programs, as well as to graduate school programs.

There are two types of scholarships:
Financial Support Scholarships
Merit Scholarships
  • There are 70+ financial support scholarships available.
  • There is one financial support scholarship for graduate school studies.
  • Awards are from $1,000 to $5,000 and are determined by your financial needs.
  • There is one financial support scholarship that has a potentially large total award, with annual awards possibly increasing over the recipient's four years of undergraduate study.  Click here to review the additional requirements for recipients of this award before deciding to apply for it.
  • The committee will match you with an appropriate scholarship.  Your award will be based on your financial need.
  • We accept the 2025 IRS Form 1040
  • High school and undergraduate college students may apply
  • There are only two merit scholarships
  • These scholarships are specifically for students interested in studying math, STEM subjects, teaching and nursing
  • Awards are from $1,000 to $2,000
  • Your award amount is specified by the terms of the scholarship
