Financial Support Scholarships for Undergraduate Students

If you attend Lexington High School (LHS), you MUST complete the LHS Guidance Department's on-line Google application by April 1, 2026 to get your transcript and support letter sent to us.

Undergraduate Financial Support Scholarships With Additional Requirements
(You must submit additional documents along with your "Lexington Scholarship Fund Application for Financial Support" application)
George O. Smith Scholarship
- Major in Engineering or Physical Science (Examples are: Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, Astronomy, Meteorology, Oceanography)
- Applicants must have attended Lexington High School or Minuteman High School
- Your mother must have lived in Lexington at the time of your birth.
- You must submit a copy of your birth certificate along with your application.
Emily and Frank Smiddy Scholarship
This scholarship has a potentially large total award, with annual awards possibly increasing over the recipient's four years of undergraduate study. The student, however, must sign an agreement to provide receipts and documentation for all uses of the award money, as well as to maintain good academic standing. Review the agreement before deciding to apply for this scholarship.
- Major in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) beginning your first year of college
- Submit the Emily and Frank Smiddy Scholarship Applicant Agreement along with your application.

Merit Scholarships
- High school and undergraduate college students may apply
- There are currently only two merit scholarships
- Awards are from $1,000 to $2,000
- Your award amount is specified by the terms of the scholarship you choose
- You do not have to submit financial documentation

NOTE: You may also submit a Financial Support Application if you wish to be considered for a Financial Support Scholarship in the event you are not awarded a Merit scholarship.
Both applications must be received by the application deadline, but you can receive only one scholarship.
