Apply for a Scholarship
The Lexington Scholarship Committee disburses scholarship award money from funds that are managed by the Trustee of Public Trusts for the Town of Lexington.
Scholarships are awarded to graduates of Lexington High School (LHS), Minuteman High School (MHS) and Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) who are Lexington residents at the time of graduation.
Awards can be applied to the cost of certificate, one-year, two-year, four-year and undergraduate college programs, as well as to graduate school programs.
There are two types of scholarships: financial support scholarships and merit scholarships.

Financial Support Scholarships
- There are 70+ financial support scholarships available.
- There is one financial support scholarship for graduate school studies.
- Awards are from $2,000 to $5,000 and are determined by your financial needs.
- Your award will be THE SAME no matter which scholarship you receive...your award is based on your financial need.
- The committee will match you with an appropriate scholarship.
- The Joseph & Carole Stavenhagen Scholarship for Graduate Level Studies has its own application form

Merit Scholarships
- High school and undergraduate college students may apply
- There are only two merit scholarships
- Awards are from $1,000 to $2,000
- Your award amount is specified by the terms of the scholarship you choose
- You do not have to submit financial documentation

NOTE: You may also submit a Financial Support Application if you wish to be considered for a Financial Support Scholarship in the event you are not awarded a Merit scholarship.
Both applications must be received by the application deadline, but you can receive only one scholarship.
